Auntie Lucy and family, we would like to send our sincerest condolences to you with the passing of Uncle Henry. The loss of someone who played such an important role in your life as husband and father will be missed dearly. However, it always gives us great comfort in knowing that now Uncle has the most important role he will ever have, and that is being your guardian angel. Look for the dimes he'll leave you, to let you know he is there, especially in your time of need. I'm sure Dad is glad to finally have a "campfire" buddy and you can bet the stories will be flowing. Take care of yourself.
Love Brenda, Randy and family

Dear Henry,
It's almost hard to believe you're gone to Heaven, Henry, and not here on this Earthly plane, physically with us anymore. So many people are feeling your loss.
You meant so many things to different people in the lives you touched. A loving devoted Partner, a fabulous Dad, a devoted Grandpa, a great Brother and Uncle, a wonderful friend.
To the community of Whitecourt, a wonderfully giving man and friend. Again and again, yours and Lucy's name were brought up in general conversation for being the wonderful, caring and giving couple.
52 years of being my Brother in law. Wow.
You were more like a Brother. Time mellowed us both out. You were wonderfully giving and supportive. Thank you for that. Your sense humour was awesome. We shared alot of laughs.
I'll miss the texts badgering us as to where we were for our hikes. You always made sure you and Lucy arrived a few minutes earlier just so you could send that text. You never kept anyone waiting, not even God (left on your 75th birthday). Wow.
I'll miss that little greeting. I'd try to sneak up on you in your vehicle and give you a gentle shoulder punch. You'd always laugh and say "How you doin', my Dear".
I'll cherish the little examples of your woodwork. They're scattered through the house and outside.
So many wonderful memories you have left for not only me, but everyone's whose lives you've touched.
Theres a part of me that wishes I could give you one more shoulder punch, but I wouldn't want to ruffle your wings. God knows you've earned them.
Until we meet again, rest easy, my Brother. We love you.
You
H

Henry was a part of our family from the time I was a child. Grew up with him being there for 52 plus years. This man was always there with a kind word, a smile or a helping hand. His body became frail but his mind and spirit were strong right to the end. In very, very typical fashion our Henry was methodical, punctual and particular in what he did through his life. True to this way of doing those things he went out with his usual flair on the day of his 75th birthday. But not before seeing those he cared about and saying his goodbyes. We will miss this man: his smile, his humour, his dedication to his family and friends and his passions in life
From wheels to wings; show them how those wings work, Henry. And knowing you, you will show them how to improve the performance of those wings. You will make God smile at your antics. We know you are here with us, looking after all of us.
