Obituary of Harvey Allan Mudry

Harvey Allan Mudry November 19, 1951 – April 20, 2023 It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Harvey Mudry on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the Drayton Valley Hospital, at the age of 71 years. There is comfort in knowing his battle with cancer is over and he is at rest. Harvey’s legacy of inspiration and strength in the face of life’s storms will live on in Dianna, his wife of 52 years, and his children, Laura, Ronald (Tania) and Kevin. Also left to reflect his character and spirit are his grandchildren, Zachery, Natasha (Cody), Vanessa, Allissa, Rowyn and Sophia. Harvey will also be forever remembered in the hearts of his brothers, Jim (Joyce), George (Diane) and Adam; his sister Elsie (Dave) Wickberg, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Harvey was predeceased by his parents, William and Millie; brothers Richard and Ted and his sister Joyce. Harvey’s passion for the outdoors was only surpassed by his joy in sharing those times with his family, be it fishing, camping or sitting around a fire, the family will always cherish those moments that are now precious memories. Throughout his life, Harvey was always there to lend a helping hand to others and was always a mentor to his children. He was so very proud of his kids and grandkids, and was their number one fan in supporting them and cheering them on, in whatever endeavor they pursued. He was also an avid Oilers fan and his enthusiastic armchair coaching will always be remembered. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Drayton Valley Cancer Clinic as well as the staff at the Drayton Valley Hospital. In this spirit of caring for others, they would ask that, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Harvey’s name to STARS or the Canadian Cancer Society. The family have chosen to have a private celebration of Harvey's life. He will indeed be missed but always loved and remembered.
