Obituary of Kathryn Lynn Pratt

Kathryn Lynn Pratt April 4, 1954 – March 7, 2023 It is with sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing of our wife, mom, grandmother, and friend Kathryn Lynn Pratt on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 68 years. As Kathryn closed her eyes from this life, she opened them to see her Heavenly Father waiting for her. Kathryn was a busy lady, she had a passion for crafting, creating, and sewing; most family members would have a handmade baby quilt from Kathryn. She was a gardener at heart, what she grew she canned; she enjoyed canning so much, Kathryn taught others to can as well. Baking was her go to especially if there was a bake sale. Kathryn loved her family fiercely, Her husband, her children, but especially her seven precious grandchildren. Most grandmas would just call their grandkids to ask how they are, not Kathryn she went over to see them, to hug them, to rock them, to just love them. Family was everything, Kathryn will live on in the memories of her husband Stan; her children Jennifer (Kenneth), and Chris; her grandchildren, Travis (Chelsea), Aidan, Mackenzie, Emily, Hailey, Jackson, and Hunter; her brother, Vance; mother-in-law, Vivian; her brother-in-law Garry (Belinda), and sister-in-law Audrey (Merle) and their families. Kathryn was predeceased by her parents, Freda and Norman Hutton; brother, Leonard, and sister, Coralee, her in laws, Alex, and Stanley. A private family graveside service will take place on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Riverview Cemetery. Kathryn’s family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurse and staff who cared for Kathryn. “Through tears and trials, through fears and sorrows, through the heartache and loneliness of losing loved ones, there is assurance that life is everlasting.
