Obituary of Dave Jabs

David Robert Jabs May 1, 1959 – February 5, 2022 The family of Dave Jabs is extremely heart broken to announce his passing at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre on the evening of Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the age of 62 years. With a life-time spent in the oilpatch and an outdoorsman at heart, he was rarely found idle. He loved to hunt, farm, rodeo and team rope. As much as he loved all these things, nothing could compare to the love he had for his family. Dave will forever be loved and remembered by his wife, Kathleen Jabs; children, Taylor Jabs, Ryan (Jenna) Jabs and Travis Jabs; grandchildren, Rayne and Faith Rumsey, Ayden and Ryker Jabs, Liam and Nolan Jabs, April and Knox Jabs and Nina Jabs; brother, Randy Jabs, numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Dave is predeceased by his parents, Bernie and Bonnie Jabs; brothers, Vernon and Charlie Jabs; daughter, Trisha Jabs and niece, Kim Ohmann. For those who wish to pay their respects, a viewing will be held at Affinity Funeral Service Chapel, 5001 45 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Thursday, February 10, 2020 beginning at 6:00 p.m. A Celebration of Dave’s Life will be held from the MacKenzie Conference Centre, 5745 45 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Randy Rye officiating.
