Robert Charles Muir May 23, 1944 – January 22, 2022 With broken hearts we announce the passing of Robert Muir, long-time resident of Drayton Valley, on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 77 years, following a long struggle with dementia. Robert was born at Violet Grove to parents, Robert and Jeanie and was one of ten children. Robert spent his working years on the rigs and as a truck driver. In his spare time, he was happy to drop a line and catch a few fish. He will forever be remembered by his wife, Lynne and their children, Anita (Jeff), Tina and Jennie-Lynn; and his first wife, Verna Lee and their children, Ilean (Brad), Albert and Darren; grandchildren, Crystal-Ann, Casey, Jessica, Kayla, Zachary, Rylie and Charis; great-grandchildren, Noah and Lynden and siblings, Rose (Willard) and Jimmy. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Jeanie and siblings, Andy, Lucy, John, Jane, Albert, Alberta and Elizabeth. For those who so desire, memorial donations in Robert’s name may be forwarded to Shangri-La Lodge or Drayton Valley Hospital Foundation.
