Obituary of Donald Orin Matlock

Donald Orin Matlock July 17, 1965 – January 12, 2022 It is with saddened hearts that the family of Donald Matlock announce his passing in Drayton Valley on January 12, 2022, at the age of 56 years. He is survived by his children, D’arci (Chris), Dominic (Hanna), and Charles; siblings, Kathie (Steve), Doug, Alice (Don), Noreen (Doug), Rae-Ann (Brian) and Cliffy. Donald will also be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Kenton, Jeremiah, Alexxa, Neveah, Trinity-Ann, Jaxxson and Dakotah. Donald also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many great friends to cherish his memory. Donald was predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Vicky and granddaughter Andraya. The family will always celebrate their memories of Donald’s life – he was a loving man who had an incredible way with children and made family and friends always feel so welcomed and loved. His sense of humor and contagious laughter will always be remembered. Donald was down to earth, and just loved time with family and friends sitting around a campfire, tossing horse-shoes or just shooting the breeze. Donald was especially happy watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and WWF Wrestling, along with building his model cars. The family wishes to express deep gratitude to Don’s friends, Alfie, John, Corey and Bucky, who all took time to help and care for Donald. A private family viewing and celebration of life will take place Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Affinity Funeral Service Chapel, 5001 45 Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta.
