Obituary of Raymond John Pirart

Raymond John Pirart June 12, 1937 – December 6, 2021 With heavy hearts, the family of Raymond Pirart announce that he passed away peacefully on December 6, 2021, at the Drayton Valley Hospital, at the age of 84 years. Left to cherish his memories and celebrate his life is Raymond’s wife of 64 years, Martha; his children, Celina (Mike), Robert (Linda), Dorothy (Derrick), Dennis (Tammy), and Chris (Maggie); his brother Ron; his grandchildren, Roseanne, Cindy-Lee, Crystal, Codey, Felicia, Ross, Patricia and Heather; his great grandchildren, Aleashe, Ashley, Rachael, Brianna-Sue, Tanner, Kaili, Amy, Anna, Tyler, Candace, Kylie, Rayme, Kayandra, Aries, Coral, Taylor, Charley, William, Jerome, and great-great grandchild, Thomas. Raymond was also thrilled to hear the news of a new great-great grandchild who will arrive in February of 2022. Raymond was predeceased by his parents, Leon and Eleanor; and brothers Don, Leon and Robert. The family will always remember Raymond’s work ethic and his diversity of work which included working as a mechanic; a Taxi Driver; A milkman; a Gravel Truck Driver and also a Real-estate agent. Raymond joined the ranks of Oilfield workers in 1965. Along with his work, Raymond also volunteered as a Captain with the Leduc Air Cadets. He will also be remembered for his love of fishing and hunting and his involvement with the Seniors 55+ Centre, where he loved to play cards and floor curl. Raymond was an avid reader, and could read through a book a day. He will be greatly missed and always loved. A celebration of Raymond’s life will take place Saturday, December 18, at 11:00 am, at the Life Church, 5115 50 Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta.
