Obituary of Betty Caron Thomson (Nelson)

Betty Caron Thomson (Nelson) July 7, 1949 – November 3, 2021 It is with sorrowful hearts that the family of Betty Thomson announce her passing on November 3, 2021, at the University of Alberta Hospital, with her family by her side. Cherishing Betty’s life are her husband of 51 years, George Thomson; her children Heather (Chris) Peltonen, Michelle (Kris) Isfeld, Brenda (Raymond) Hardy and Richard (Elvera). Treasuring the gift of their grandmother’s life are her grandchildren, Alicia (Luke) Toenjes, Natalie (Luke) Hermann, Joel (Kassie) Peltonen, Eric (Abby) Hermann, Josh (Shania) Peltonen, Hayden Hardy, Daniel Pasay, Janae Thomson, Ashleigh Pasay, Gavin Thomson, Owen Thomson, Dayson Hilton, Addison Thomson, Samuel Thomson and her great grandchildren, Noah Hermann, Chloe Toenjes, Ivy Toenjes and Lexi Toenjes. Betty will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Carol (Dave) Buzza, Blaine (Angie) Nelson, Calvin (Christina) Nelson, Wally (Wendy) Bunt, Sheldon (Carolyn) Nelson and Lydia (Barry) Lanyon. Betty was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Kathleen Nelson. Betty lived her life giving the gift of love to all who met her. She loved hiking, the Edmonton Oilers (who all were called by their first names), making her yard beautiful, playing the piano, doting on her many grandkids and above all else loving her Jesus. Betty will be dearly missed. A celebration of Betty’s life will take place Saturday, November 13, 2021 in the Lindale Hall, Lindale Alberta, at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place following the service at Berrymoor Cemetery. Due to Covid protocol and concerns, this service will be limited to those invited by family. Thank you for your understanding.
