Obituary of Carol Louise Wowk

It is with broken hearts that the family of Carol Wowk announce her passing on Saturday, November 6, 2021, in the Drayton Valley Hospital, at the age of 75 years. Carol was the loving matriarch of the family and leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Steve; four children, Jamie (Tim) Miller, Terry (Lonnie) Stacey, Bobbie-Joe (Adrian) Bieda, and Travis (Linda) Stacey, as well as two stepchildren Mike Wowk and Lisa Javier Wowk. Also mourning her loss are her sixteen grandchildren, Chad (Robin) Collier, Ty (Amanda) Collier, Stacey (Jon) Anstey, Matthew (Nelly) Witschen, Zachary Witschen, Ashley (Adrian) Paolinelli, Andrew (Ashley) Bieda, Bethany Bieda, Jakob (Meghan) Bieda, Austin (Alyssa) Stacey, Jordan (Chad) Stacey, Colton Stacey, Tianna Javier, Drake Javier, Miranda Wowk and Michaela Wowk. She will also be missed by eighteen great-grandchildren: Delilah Collier, Alexus Collier, McKenna Collier, Sloane Collier, Lilly Anstey, Lennox Anstey, Nixon Paolinelli, Alessandra Paolinelli, Lucas Paolinelli, Florence Paolinelli, Cohen Bieda, Jace Bieda, Charlotte Bieda, Lincoln Bieda, Aylah Bieda, Rylynn Bieda, Beau Bieda, and Maize Wowk. Carol is survived by her siblings: Connie Young, Marg(Peter)Langlois, Wayne Armstrong, Russel(Sheila)Armstrong. Randy(Brenda)Armstrong, and Gary Armstrong Carol was a long-term resident of the community leaving memories for many friends and family to share. She was warm, caring, generous, kind, and a tireless worker at the Breton Care Centre for over 17 years. She loved visiting with friends and family, watching her favorite television shows and spending time with her beloved dog “Opie”. But most of all, Carol was a loving and committed mother and grandmother who served as a fabulous role model. Though we are all saddened by her loss, we cherish her life and the many memories we all have been able to share with her. Carol was predeceased by her mother and father, Verna Robertson and Bruce Armstrong and several brothers. A visitation will be held at Affinity Funeral Service Chapel on November 11, 2021 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 1 P.M. at the Tomahawk Cemetery.
