Obituary of Phyllis Alicia Johanneson

February 15, 1926 – October 26, 2021 The family of Phyllis Alicia Johanneson sadly announce that on October 26, 2021, she passed on to be with her beloved husband and sons. Mom was devoted to her family whom she blessed with enormous love and innumerable happy memories. We have come to know how she touched the residents and staff at the Kipnes Veterans Care Centre with her sweet disposition. As a family, our words can never express how thankful we are that she was able to thrive and experience happiness and retain her dignity because of their loving care. Her unwavering love will forever be missed by her children, Brenda (Ernie) VandenBiggelaar, Aileen (Doug) Proctor, Derrik Johanneson and daughter-in-law Christine Johanneson; grandchildren, Carrianne (Rob) Filippelli, Deanna (Sean) Rafferty, Denise Rogers, Craig VandenBiggelaar, Jay Johanneson, Joy (Kevin) Sully and Amanda (Paul) Slaught; as well as 18 great grandchildren. Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Bill and two sons Robin and Barry, her parents Winnifred and Joseph, sisters Joanie and Joyce, her brother Raymond as well as numerous extended family members. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Drayton Valley Legion on November 6, 2021 at 1:30 pm. As COVID regulations must be adhered to, all attendees must provide proof of full vaccination and wear a mask while moving about. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Drayton Valley Legion Branch #269, P.O.
