Obituary of Ann Margaret Gressler

Amid the beauty of autumn colors, on October 18, 2021, our beloved Ann Gressler, at the age of 81, passed away peacefully in her home. Ann was born in Chester, England. In her childhood, Ann was an avid reader and a Girl Guider. Ann married Bill Gressler in 1964 and settled in Flint and Tremeirchion, North Wales, United Kingdom. After the marriage of their son and his immigration to Canada, Ann immigrated with her husband in 2000 and settled on an acreage north of Drayton Valley, where she used her talents at gardening, sewing and interior decorating to create a beautiful home. Ann was a devoted mother, grandmother and aunty who cherished her time with grandchildren and family. She made regular trips back to the United Kingdom to visit family. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. The many memories that have been made together will be treasured. Ann will be remembered for her long flowing skirts, warm voice, cheerful nature and kind heart; her love of reading, gardening, bird watching, going for walks with her dogs, and going on caravan holidays. (camping) Ann will be remembered fondly by her loving husband, Bill, her son Marc (Trudy), grandchildren Jacob, Rhiannon and Ian; her brother, Keith (Pat), nieces, Sian (Matthew) and Helen (Paul), nephew, Ian (Jodi) and their families in the UK; cousins Alicen and Kathleen (BC) and cousins; Chris Victor, Dennis, Michael and Philip in the UK. Her family would like to thank Dr. Clive Gigg, Dr. Anthony Froud, the staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital (Emergency Wards 31 and 32), Drayton Valley Hospital (“Emergency and Acute Care) and Drayton valley Home Care for their care and compassion. She was predeceased by her mother Gladys, and father, Donald. A private funeral service was held on Saturday, October 23, 2021. Thank you to Dwayne and Trudy Henley and their staff.
