Obituary of Ernest Claude Russell

It is with the greatest sadness that we announce the passing of Ernie Russell on October 15, 2021. Ernie had a passion for the farm and was an avid fisherman, enjoying fishing trips with his wife, siblings, children and grandchildren. He loved playing cards with friends and neighbors but his greatest joy was his grandchildren and his face illuminated when ever you saw them together. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Caroline, his children, Barry (Kelly) Russell, Theresa (Eric) Bradley, Philip (Brenda) Russell, Cindy (Darin) Prylowski and Ernie (Shelley) Russell. He will also be missed by grandchildren; Tyler (Kelsey) Spuehler, Kaili (Shawn) Ditner, Kelsey (Parker) Tuttle, Karly (Simron) Gill, Brooks (Ashley) Russell, Wyatt, Kolby and Allyson Russell, and great grand children Theodore Tuttle, Sullivan Tuttle, Elliott and Wallace Ditner. Ernie will be mourned by his siblings, Richard (Sheila) Russell, Garry (Tina) Russell and Cecil (Marj) Russell, as well as numerous extended family, friends and neighbors. Ernie was predeceased by siblings, Leroy and Victoria. Due to COVID restrictions, a Celebration of Ernie’s life will take place at a later date. The family wishes to express their appreciation to Dr. Gossman for her years of caring for Ernie and to Dr. Ayotte for his care during Ernie’s final days at the Drayton Valley Hospital.
