Obituary of Ida Noskiye

It comes with sadness to announce Doris Noskiye’s passing October 9, 2021, at the University of Alberta Hospital at 68 years of age. Doris was born in High Prairie, Alberta on March 12, 1953, and would become the oldest of her eight siblings. She lived in many places such as Sturgeon Lake, Windfall, Faro (Yukon) and Whitecourt. Doris was fun, loved by many and replicated all the love shown to her by family and friends. She always had a deep connection with the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. Being out in the bush brought her a great deal of peace. Doris always kept a nice home. As you would enter, you would be welcomed with the aromas of her amazing cooking. During her spare time, she loved to play bingo, garden, quilt and sew, but embroidery would become to be her favourite pastime. She embroidered jeans, shirts and jackets for family and friends. You would get a one-of-a-kind design from a one-of-a-kind lady. She will also be loved and remembered for her collection of beautiful purses and lovely clothes. Doris is survived by her two daughters, Julie and Marilyn; four grandchildren and one great grandchild; siblings Valerie, Hilda, Tina, Irene, Sally, Denise, Eddy, Norma, Valerie, Sandra and Debbie. She will also be remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Doris was predeceased by her son Lee; parents Robert Desjarlais, Julie Noskiye and William Contois; grand parents Dennis and Lucy Noskiye, siblings; Marilyn, Katie, Johnny, Gary and Richard. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Affinity Funeral Service Chapel, #1 4105 41st Avenue, Whitecourt, Alberta.
