Mel and Joyce,
I remember meeting your mom. She was a woman of God who had the warmest, genuine smile and a love that just radiated from within her. She had the bluest eyes that sparkled and twinkled. It was a privilege to come to be her friend. She was a blessing in my life. My husband took to her right away when he met her.
She loved and accepted people. She was a very forgiving person. She and I had talked about her being an artist and she was amazing painter. Thank you for sharing pictures with me. Today you celebrate her life and even though I am not able to be there I know it will be beautiful. I am so thankful to have been a part of her life. Love, prayers and hugs to the whole family.

I have a memory of sitting with my sister in Lyle and Laura’s motorhome drinking coffee and each painting a meadowlark from a 1925 magazine page she saved fir that purpose.
Her artistic ability was indeed a gift from God.
She told me then that she wanted to leave a painting for each grandchild. I hope they will treasure theirs as I treasure the she gave me. It is a painting of an old grain wagon sitting beside the Hussar elevators she painted from a UFA calendar she saved from the days our family lived there. She was a gift to the Barrhead community sharing her talent with art shows presented by the handicapped and many gravestones she created as memorials on unmarked graves in Barrhead cemetery.
I know she’s enjoying the ‘colors’ of heaven.

Marg taught me how to live life with grace and dignity. She tolerated her pain and discomfort with grace. She accepted her disabilities with grace. And, with grace, she practised courtesy and gratitude every day. I am glad I knew her in the Long Term Care. She was a resident and I am a volunteer. I was meant to help her, but she helped me more than she ever knew. May she rest in peace.

Sending healing prayers & comforting hugs to Margaret's family. She had a heart of gold and was always willing to help when needed. She would pick up Larry's mom to go to painting classes at Shirley Reshkes which we appreciated.
May she rest in peace painting up a storm in heaven.
Sincerely Larry & Helen Wiese

Margaret touched many people over may years in Barrhead. I moved here in 72 and she was one of the first to make me feel welcomed. Later we were Co- workers at Blue Heron. As we were sharing memories today more than a few names from Special Olympics and Blue Heron came up. She made an impression on so many with her love and her art. You will be greatly missed but always remembered Margaret
Sincere condolences to the families
