Obituary of Morley William Haggerty

MORLEY WILLIAM HAGGERTY May 1, 1933 – August 28, 2021 It is with broken hearts and much love that we say goodbye to Morley Haggerty who passed away August 28, 2021, at the age of 88 in the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton. Morley will be forever loved and missed by his wife of 56 years, Beverly; children; Dawn Penny, Cyndi (John) Millett, Shawn (Hope) Haggerty, his siblings; Florence Malcolm, Lois Duncan, and Hazel Brooks. He leaves to mourn his loss, 20 grandchildren: David Penny, Amanda (Clifford) Penny, Jessie Penny, Amber (Ayuba) Armiyao, Courtney Penny, Chantelle Penny, Carter Penny, Joshua Penny, Jayla Penny, Jayce Penny, Lilly Penny, Mitchell Millett, Morgan Millett, McCoy Millett, McTeighgan Millett, Michael Millett, James Alexander, Sarah Haggerty, Caitlin Haggerty, and Paul Alexander. He will also be remembered by 8 great grandchildren: Lyric Penny, Symphony Penny, Harmony Penny, Bradley Penny, Skyla Gustafson, Zeth Gustafson, Ocean Penny, Hakeem Amiyao, along with numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Morley is predeceased by his parents Fredrick and Alice Haggerty, Son in Law, Brad Penny as well as his siblings; Gertrude Hooker, Fred Haggerty, Clarence Haggerty, Jim Haggerty, Lenard Haggerty, and Sharon Clelland. Morley was a hardworking, industrious man with many talents from working as a sawyer to mechanics and farming. He also enjoyed camping, western movies and gospel concerts. He was a loving, loyal and faithful husband who loved life and enjoyed it fully. The family would like to thank the staff the Misericordia Hospital for their efforts and kindness extended at the hospital. They would also like to thank friends and family for their prayers and support, Affinity Funeral Services and their Life Church Family for their love and support and assistance with his Celebration of Life. He will be greatly missed and forever loved by all who knew him. Our hearts know, that you are with Our Father in Heaven, reunited with all your loved ones who have gone before you who are celebrating a life well lived. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the Life Church, 5115-50 Ave, Drayton Valley, Alberta, with Pastor Randy Rye officiating.
