Obituary of Ron Chambers

Ronald “Ron” J. Chambers September 28th, 1949 – August 19th, 2021 It is with profound heartbreak that we announce the passing of Ronald “Ron” James Chambers at the age of 71 years. Ron passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and their love. During his time in Whitecourt, Ron had either managed/ owned quite a number of businesses starting with Dickie Dee Ice Cream, and came to include retail gas stations, restaurants, Mountain Video as well as some small specialty/ retail shops. Ron was also an avid collector of many things, so in addition to being an astute businessman, he could be a fierce negotiator although he always tempered everything with fairness. Ron will be greatly missed, and is survived, by his Wife of 53 years, Marlene; daughter Roxanne (Phil) Morlidge; grand-children Krystal, Nathan, Jennifer, and Leah; great-grandchildren Knox and Ava; siblings Allan Chambers (Linda), Eddie Chambers (Lorraine), Lorrie Chambers, Rene Chambers (Wayne), and Charlene Chambers; sister-in-laws Jacalyn Chambers; Jenice Brown; Cheryl Soanes; and Isla (Ivan) Laliberte; brother-in-law George (Diane) Hovdebo in addition to many numerous nieces and nephews. Ron now rests at peace with his daughter Carrie Chambers; parents Frank and Marianne Chambers; brothers Stuart and Rick Chambers; brother-in-laws Glen Englund, John Brown and Allan Soanes; as well as sister-in-laws Bev Englund and Eileen Erickson. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life for Carrie and Ron will take place In Weldon, Saskatchewan on the 18th of September, 2021.
