Obituary of Dean William Boyko

Dean William Boyko February 14, 1967 – April 17, 2021 It is with great sadness that the family and friends announce the sudden passing of Dean William Boyko at the age of 54 years in Tomahawk, Alberta. Dean was predeceased by his father William John Boyko. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Karen Boyko (Ron Lothamer), brother, Tracy Boyko and sister Dawn (Roy) Thompson. He will also be missed by his nephews, Taran and Devon Boyko and Jace Thompson and niece, Tianna (Tegan) Nelson and their children Tylar, Turner and Tucker. Also left to treasure his memory are cousins Dallas Boyko and her son Arden and Dusty and his son Nash, as well as numerous extended families and too many friends to mention. Dean spent a great deal of time as a farm worker but his passion was music and playing his guitar with friends. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting. His valued his friendships and was a dedicated volunteer for his church but his loyalty and love was to his mother who he was committed to caring for. A visitation for those wishing to pay their respects to Dean will be held at Affinity Funeral Chapel on April 22, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. In honor of Dean, a private service will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tomahawk on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Marshall officiating. Internment will follow at Tomahawk Lutheran Cemetery. In order to accommodate Covid-19 restrictions and those who are unable to attend, the service will be livestreamed. The family is so very grateful to the Emergency Responders, RCMP, Gerry Tilley and Pastor Robert Marshall for their care and support.
