Obituary of Joseph Spitkoski

Joseph “ Joe” Spitkoski We are incredibly heart broken to announce the peaceful passing of Joseph “Joe” Spitkoski on April 14, 2021 at the age of 65 surrounded by the love of his family. Joe was a remarkable Husband, Dad and Grandpa. Joe leaves to grieve his passing and honour his memory; wife Linda, and children Seth (Sarah), Sheydeen (Paul) Mraz, and Amber, grandchildren Joe, Roy, Paul and Taraz. Joe is also survived by his brother Emil (Marisa) Spitkoski, and many family and friends along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his twin brother, John, parents, Elizabeth and Vincent Sr., brother, Vincent, father-in-law, George Randahl, and brother-in-law, Danny Sobon. Born and raised in a loving family in the Fern Creek area, Joe grew up to have a strong work ethic and his leadership proved successful and he was promoted to manager of offshore drilling operations where he further positively influenced the lives of many. He loved his work, but he was a home body; he enjoyed simple things, puttering around the house, tinkering in the garage, spending time with family, camping and family vacations. Joe had a special love of camping and fishing at the Brazeau Dam enjoying the outdoors with his family. He had a love for animals and spent time watching cooking shows and sharing a good BBQ with family and friends. He especially loved spending time with his loving and rambunctious grandsons (Joe, Roy, and PJ). He will be remembered for his strength, courage, wisdom, and positive attitude.
