Obituary of Muriel Faye Steele-Brown

Muriel Faye Steele-Brown September 27, 1935 – April 2, 2021 After a short vigil, the family of Murial Faye Steele-Brown are saddened to announce her passing on April 2, 2021 at Drayton Valley Palliative Care Unit with her family at her side. Left to cherish her memory are Muriel’s five children, Ken (Dale) Brown, Shauna (Karl) Graetz, Jackie (Tom) LaRose, Connie Brown, Corrine (Ron) Erickson; ten grandchildren, Tammy, Robert (Dawn), Mike, Karl, Frank, Corbin (Tori), Steven (Candice), Garrett (Heidi), Kyle (Tisha), Jessica (Jacob) and ten great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Riley, Nicholas, Vincient, Isabella, Kayleigh, Zoey, Taia, Livai and Ethan. Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Harold Brown; daughter Kathy; infant granddaughter Tabitha; parents Frank and Eugenia Steele and her four siblings, Doreen, Phyllis, Eileen and Norma. Muriel loved horses and rode horseback to school every day in pioneer fashion. She loved curling and her owl collection, but these passions paled in comparison to her love of spending time with family sitting by a fire, playing cards or going on various field trips. These moments of fun, laughter and sharing life together are now precious memories that will remain in the hearts of her children and grandchildren. In respect to Muriel’s wishes, there will be no formal service, but the family will have an internment of her urn at a later date. The family are extremely grateful for the care Muriel received by Dr. Botes and the Palliative Care nurses.
