Obituary of Felix Felske

Felix Felske February 10, 1934 - April 3, 2021 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Felix Felske on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the age of 87 years. Felix will be fondly remembered by his children, Jim Connors, Patrick Connors, Nita Randahl (Dale), Lawny Felske, Tammy Saar (Darcy), many grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Felix enjoyed a long career with the railroad and his passion for trains extended into his retirement. He will be remembered as a long-time resident of the Breton community who enjoyed the outdoors and had love for growing fruit trees and flower gardens. Felix was referred to as a “Pot Man”, filling his entire yard with potted flowering plants. Each year, friends and neighbors loved to see all his peonies and petunias as they flowered under the care of his green thumb. In addition to his passion for horticulture, Felix was a sharp card player who was difficult to beat at canasta or cribbage and truly appreciated the company of his cats and dogs. Felix was an avid Oiler fan, but whenever the Oilers were not playing hockey, he enjoyed in watching baseball, football and especially soccer games. But his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and his face illuminated whenever you saw them together. There are many happy memories of the camping trips to B.C. and Jasper. Felix was predeceased by his wife, Grace, his parents, Wilhelm and Ottilie Felske and each of his siblings. His family extends a special thank you to Sylvia and the staff at the Shangri-La for their kindness and caring during Felix’s time at the Lodge. Those wishing to pay their respects to Felix can do so at Affinity Funeral Chapel on April 16, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Interment with family will follow at the Breton Cemetery on April 17, 2021.
