Obituary of Elizabeth "Sheila" Cross

Elizabeth “Sheila” Cross August 23, 1938 – June 25, 2021 It is with great sadness that the family of Elizabeth Sheila Cross announce her passing on Friday, June 25, 2021, at the age of 82 years. Sheila was an avid reader with a special interest in true crime stories. You could often find her enjoying watching Coronation Street, she never missed an episode. A passion of Sheila’s was line dancing, she always loved an opportunity to show off her moves. Sheila valued all her friendships and treasured her special bond with her close friends Betty and Kathy. Each lady held a special place in Sheila’s heart. She will be lovingly remembered and missed dearly by her children, Gail (Boyd) Payne, Julie Nestegard (Greg); grandchildren, Taryn, William, Russel, Tyrel, Leah, Kayla, Isaac; as well as great-grandchildren, Zander, Dante, Fiona, Toni, Julianna, Clohe, Daniel, Liam, Freyja, Gunner, Nathan, Christopher; brother Terry Green, sister Olive (Louis) Semoli and nephew Luigi Semoli. Sheila is predeceased by her husband George William Cross and parents Albert and Winnie. Cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time. For those who so desire, memorial contributions in Sheila’s name may be made directly to the Friends of Whitecourt Society Box 1101 Whitecourt, Alberta T7S 1P1 towards the palliative care room.
