Obituary of George Ernest Mason

George Ernest Mason December 29, 1953 - November 30, 2023 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of George Ernest Mason Thursday, November 30, 2023, with the love of his family beside him. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. May his memory live on in our hearts, and may we find solace in the beautiful moments we shared with him. As a father, George was a pillar of support and guidance to his children. He cherished the moments spent with them and took great joy in watching his grandchildren grow. They shared a special bond, often gathering around him to read stories and create memories. George was a social man, known for his generosity and kind-hearted nature. His warm smile and friendly demeanor touched the lives of many. As a dedicated school bus driver, he had a positive impact on the high school students he transported. Beyond his role as a bus driver, George was a skilled Ferrier and blacksmith. He had a deep love for horses and found solace in their presence. George's passion for music was evident as he played the guitar and was a member of a band that performed locally to many audiences. His love for music truly made the world go round. Above all, George adored his wife, who was his whole world. They were partners in life, sharing a bond that was unbreakable. Their love and support for one another were an inspiration to all who knew them. George’s life will be treasured and remembered by his wife, Carol; children Donald and Debbie (Will); grandchildren, Kyle, Robert, Melissa, Jesse (Brittany), Shantelle, Kelsey, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Seth, Zach, Cole, Paisley, Kian, and Aubrey; siblings, Julie and Billy; with extended family. George was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Doris Mason; and sister, Ruby. The family want to extend a thank you to the staff at Breton Continuing Care for the care and compassion shown to George during his stay.
