Obituary of Mary Madeline Tucker

Mary Madeline Tucker February 10, 1921 – April 6, 2023 We are sad, yet we celebrate the beautiful 102 years of a beautiful mother, grandmother and friend. Mary Tucker passed away at Drayton Valley Continuing Care on the evening of Thursday, April 6, 2023. Mary was born in Andover, New Brunswick to the late William and Nellie Miller, and was one of 15 children. After completing her education, Mary made her way from New Brunswick to Alberta to begin her nursing career, and for the majority of her profession, she nursed at Devon Hospital. In 1979, Mary retired after 35 years and seized all the beauty life had to offer. She especially loved her garden and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Mary will be forever lovingly remembered by her sons, Allan and Brian (Donna) Tucker; grandchildren, Ryan (Jacklyn) and Jordan; great-grandchildren, Madison, Connor and Blake, as well as by many extended family. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, William; 14 siblings and her parents. As a gesture of appreciation for the amazing care provided to Mary by Dr. Ryan White and the entire staff at Drayton Valley Continuing Care , the family asks that memorial donations in her name be made directly to Drayton Valley Continuing Care through the Drayton Valley Health Foundation, 4550 Madsen Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta T7A 1N8.
