Mavis Helene Parisien September 25, 1969 – February 24, 2023 “They are not dead who live in the hearts they leave behind” It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Mavis Helene Parisien on Saturday, February 25, 2023 in her home with her husband by her side, Mavis closed her eyes for the last time and opened her eyes in the arms of her Lord and Savior; at the age of 53 years. Mavis grew up on a farm in Tomahawk with cattle, pigs, and chickens, this is where her love of animals came from. She was kind hearted, loving, generous, a very forgiving soul, who did not judge others and accepted them where they were at. Mavis recently started to paint with acrylics, she had a green thumb with plants, she enjoyed to go fishing with her husband Sheldon. Mavis gave of her time freely, volunteering where she was needed including her church. Mavis’s life will be cherished and remembered by her husband, Sheldon, children, Amber (Phillip), Joseph, and Samantha (Jake); grandchildren, Jayan, and Ayla; siblings, Jeff, Phyllis (Pete), Penny (Jim), and Stacey (Brent); and numerous extended family. Mavis was predeceased by her parents, Imelda and Hank. The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at Season’s Retirement Community, especially nurse Kevin for his care and support he showed Mavis and Sheldon on Saturday night. If one desires, a memorial donation can be may directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Mavis’s name. “When you were born you cried and the world rejoiced.
