Grant Albert Glister February 13, 1953 – February 25, 2023 With heavy hearts and sadness, but full of lasting memories, the family of Grant Albert Glister announce his passing on February 25, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family. A man who silently endured the pain and never complained; his pain is now at rest. Grant’s greatest passion in life was his family, the love of his life Les, his sons and most importantly his beloved grandchildren. Grant was a caring, loving man with a huge heart and a great sense of humor to go along with his infectious laughter. A man who led by silently modeling his life for others to live by, who gave his time to all who needed it, a loyal friend to others, he loved by his actions not by words. Grant was the genuine outdoorsmen, fishing, hunting, quadding and camping, doing these things with family and friends was a perfect day. Grant’s time as an RCMP and Peace officer were the highlight of his working career, but he loved working side by side with his wife in the safety industry; Grant also received his NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) which he worked very hard to achieve. Grant loved his red hot-rod car. His hope was to have black racing stripes put on it. Grant’s life will continue to be remembered and celebrated in the lives of his wife of 34 years Les; children, Shane (Mal), Thomas (Kendra); along with his grandchildren, Summer (Cody), Nevaeh, Grant, Maddix, and Danica; his sister Bev (Stephen), brother Allan (Sherrie), his girlfriend, Abby (his cocker spaniel); and numerous extended family and friends. Grant was predeceased by his brother Baby Boy Glister; his parents Percy and Lois Glister, and his father-in-law Les Westlin. A celebration of Grant’s life is taking place at the Whitby Hall on March 4, at 1:00 pm. A graveside service for the family will be held immediately following at Rocky Rapids Cemetery. The family would like to thank Danny Westlin, Dr. Ayotte, EMS, and the Fire Department for the care shown to Grant. They also extend their gratitude to the ER nursing staff and a special thank you to Andrea Fald for your extreme kindness and support.
