Obituary of Mary Mahe

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mary Mahé at the age of 65 years at the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre, with her loving husband by her side. Mary was born on December 1, 1957 in Quebec to parents Govert and Tina Buijs and was one of ten children. Mary had a passion for the outdoors and all wildlife. Being the wife of a trapper, she learned and understood that every season provided for us in a different way. When Maurice and Mary met, there was an instant spark. The two were inseparable and enjoyed every moment spent together. From relishing in life together living in the wilderness to commercial fishing, it was a bond like no other. Mary’s passing has left a void in the hearts of many people she has touched. She will be lovingly remembered and missed dearly by her devoted husband Maurice Mahé, son Shan Buijs as well as siblings Abraham Buijs, Bastiaan Buijs, Heneritta Buijs, Elizabeth Legault, Marty Gavin, Shirley Lamming and Elaine Radke. She is predeceased by her parents Govert and Tina Buijs as well as siblings John Buijs and Judy Buijs. As per Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held.
