Obituary of Donald (Don) Edward Fricke

Donald (Don) Edward Fricke April 3, 1950 – February 18, 2023 With hearts heavy with sadness but filled with lasting memories, the family of Donald Edward Fricke announce his passing on February 18, 2023. There is comfort in knowing the storms of this life have passed for Don, and he is pain free and at rest. Don’s legacy of life will continue to live on and be celebrated in the lives of his children, Ronda Adams (Aaron), Jennifer Allan (Mario), Nick Fricke, Michelle Maisonneuve, Kristin Fricke (Jesse) and Ashley Fricke, along with his grandchildren, Brook, Addison, Blaine, Brandon, Kade, Emily, Alyssa, Brody, Shaelynn, Hayden, Kaleb and great granddaughter, Ariealla. Don will also be missed and remembered by his 4 siblings, Patricia Campbell (Dennis), James Fricke (Jackie), Marie Mason, David Fricke (Sheryl), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Don is predeceased by his wife, Carmen, his son Kirk Fricke and his parents Louise and Ronald. The family will always remember the stories and moments shared around three key passions in Don’s life – grandchildren, coffee and fishing. Don was always a social butterfly and strangers were just friends he hadn’t met yet. A celebration of Don’s will take place in the Buck Lake Hall on February 26, at 1:00 pm. A graveside service will then held immediately following at Siegel Hill Cemetery. The family would like to thank the Winfield Health Unit for all the care shown to Don over the years. They also extend their gratitude to Kevin and Marry Rolland for their kindness shown; to Ryan for being the best neighbor and to aunt Jean for being a life time friend to the Fricke family.
