Obituary of Dorothy Evelyn Ridenour

Dorothy Evelyn Ridenour February 13, 1946 – February 13, 2023 It is with sorrowful hearts that we announce the passing of our mom, grandmother, and friend Dorothy Ridenour on Monday, February 13, 2023 at Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre at the age of 77 years. Dorothy was always a country girl at heart and in her early years just loved her time with her horses, going to rodeos, getting out camping or kicking up her heels on the dance floor. Later passions in her life included gardening, crocheting or just curling up and reading a book. Dorothy is survived by her husband Harold; her children Lee Herle (Carrie), Jackie Oliver (Harold), Bonnie Stapleton (Dave) and Dale Ridenour (Carrie); her grandchildren Shelby, Monica, Jennifer, Victoria, Breyanna, Tanner, Caitlin, Morgan, Ryland, Leighton, Emersyn, and Kierstyn, along with her great grandchildren Preston, Rosalie and Blake. Dorothy’s life and legacy will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Ken McLeod (Bernice), Sylvia Ariss (Shayne) and Don McLeod. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Addie McLeod; Brother John and sister Shirley McLeod. Dorothy was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Shaina Ridenour. In accordance with Dorothy’s wishes, no formal service will take place, but a family graveside service will take place at a later date at Harlan Cemetery in Saskatchewan.
