Obituary of Vernon Patrick Clark

Please share a memory of Vernon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Vernon Patrick “Pat” Clark March 17, 1962 – January 11, 2023 It is with sadness we announce the passing of Vernon Patrick Clark on January 11, 2023 in Edmonton, Alberta at the age of 60 years. Born in Northwestern Ontario, Pat made his way out west, first stopping in Comox, B.C. staying true to his adventurous spirit by experiencing what the world had to offer him. He would eventually make his way to Whitecourt, Alberta, making this his final home. With a driven passion, Pat served in the Canadian Armed Forces for over 15 years as Aero-Engineer which would lead him in becoming a master corporal. Pat also had an extensive knowledge in plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general construction. He truly was a jack of all trades. Pat had a passion for the outdoors, especially fishing. He enjoyed collecting and was a meticulous woodworker; his craftsmanship created beautiful one-of-a-kind crib boards and bird cages. With being a great woodworker, this gave Pat an artistic characteristic as he had a gift with writing and poetry. Pat knew the value of friendship as he treated each one of his friends as family. He loved to have a good time with friends while enjoying a drink or two of T-Rex Vodka. Pat is survived by his friends Chris Erickson and his children Lydia and Lincoln Erickson, Kerry Cantlon, Mathew Cantlon, Brittany Cantlon, Darryl Curr, Shannon, Amanda Lyon, Hazen and Perry Carr, Phillip and Mona and Kim Erickson as well as his brother Scott Clark and family. Pat is predeceased by his parents Frank and Donna Clark. Cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time. Interment will take place in Nova Scotia at a later date. If friends and family so desire, memorial contributions may be made to The Canadian Lung Association. Please visit www.lung.ca for further information. “Friendship is a gift offered from God… nourished by love and respect.” Arrangements in care of Mykenna Cabral at: Affinity Funeral Service #1 4105 41st Avenue, Whitecourt, Alberta, T7S 0A3 780.778.3330
