Obituary of Judy Linda Pond

Judy Linda Dale Pond August 30, 1952 – January 8, 2023 With sadness in our hearts, we announce the passing of Judy Pond at the age of 70 years at the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre with family by her side. Judy was full of life and a shining light to everyone who knew her. She had a bubbly personality that could brighten anybody’s day. She was known to put everyone else first and never hesitated to lend a helping hand wherever she could. She took pride in rescuing animals from bunnies to birds and loved to donate to many charitable causes. Judy’s grandchildren held a special place in her heart. They brought her so much joy and happiness. If you knew Judy, you knew the passion she had for the Christmas season. She was proud and honoured that she had the opportunity of adopting a family in need every Christmas season. We are all so blessed and thankful to have spent one last holiday season with her, together. Judy is survived by her loving husband of over 52 years Eric Pond, children Greg (Emily) Pond, Tracey-Lynn (Darcy) Lower and Jamie (Jason) Coumont; grandchildren Keegan (Lisa), Bre-Anne, Kyle, Braden, Rebecca, Rylee, Brody, Hannah, Ryder, Chloe, Connor, Kaydence and Taylor as well as siblings Chloe (Arnie) Young, Randy (Marie) Gillam, Eugene (Marilyn) Gillam, Muriel (Malcom) Tucker and Daisy Gillam. She is predeceased by her parents Aubrey and Peggy Gillam; son Stephen Pond and sister Shirley Penney. A Celebration of Life for both Judy and her son Stephen Pond will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Whitecourt United Church with Barry Rose officiating. Everyone is invited to stay following the service for a light luncheon and refreshments. If friends and family so desire, memorial contributions may be made directly to the Breast Cancer Society.
