Obituary of Wayne Vanderwell

Wayne Vanderwell June 10, 1951 – December 3, 2022 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Wayne Vanderwell at his home on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at age of 71 years. To grieve, Wayne leaves his wife of 44 years, Carrie Ellen Vanderwell; children, Candice Leslie Vanderwell, Rodney Wayne Vanderwell (Alain Dallaire), Leanne Christy (Sera Linda) Vanderwell and Randy Adrian (Janna Marlene) Vanderwell ; grandchildren, Jaida Kelly Vanderwell, Rico Adrian Artur Vanderwell, Hunter Logan Dufault and Cole Cecil Dufault; step-grandchildren, Jaylie Dayne Quinn, Ceinwen Jean Mullany, Thomas Eldin Mullany (Mikayla), Aiden Bruce Mullany and Daniel Michael Mullany; great grandchild, Arwyn Olivia Mullany as well as brother, Barry (Joanne) Vanderwell and their children Adrian Vanderwell, Dan Vanderwell and Kim Khalamov. Wayne is predeceased by his parents Adrian and Bernice Vanderwell (née Hallett). Wayne enjoyed welding and keeping busy at work. During his free time, Wayne loved to embrace in good conversation with friends over a nice, cool beverage. Above everything, family was always the most important in Wayne’s life, cherishing every moment spent with his grandchildren and kept all of his family close to his heart. As per the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time. Wayne’s family would like to express their heartfelt thank you to everyone at the Drayton Valley Wishing Well, Drayton Valley Emergency Services, RCMP and Affinity Funeral Service for their compassion during this difficult time.
