Obituary of Rosalie Laura Cote

Rosalie Laura Côté July 11, 1945 – December 6, 2022 With broken hearts, we announce the death of Rosalie L. Côté of Whitecourt, Alberta at the Mayerthorpe Extendicare on December 6, 2022 at the age of 77 years. Rosalie came to Whitecourt via a job transfer with NWU (ATCO Gas) in 1990. She then retired from ATCO after 29 faithful years. Rosalie was adventurous and loved to travel. She was a devoted catholic, as this would let her travels bring her to Rome, Vatican City and Medjugorje. It was common of Rosalie to pack her car and take road trips back to Saskatchewan. She was a talented seamstress, quilter and artist. She painted using acrylic, oil and water colours. Her children and grandchildren were the world to her. Rosalie will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Renee; grandchildren Jade, Jordan, Exandra, Willard and Garrett; her only great-grandson Xavier; siblings Roger (Denise), Claire, Adelia and Leo as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rosalie is predeceased by her parents Adrian and Ida Côtê; son Marc Allard as well as siblings Armande, Juliette, Raymonde, Joseph, Remi and Marie. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with Father Benjamin Belgica officiating. A Prayer Vigil will take place the evening before on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Interment will take place in Saskatchewan at a later date. The family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Society.
