Obituary of Arthur Kenneth Tisdale

Arthur “Ken” Kenneth Tisdale October 27, 1946 – November 7, 2022 We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Arthur “Ken” Tisdale at home with family by his side at the age of 76 years. Ken was born on October 27, 1946 in New Westminster, B.C to Joseph and Evelyn Tisdale. Although Ken was a generally quiet man, he was well-versed in lots of general knowledge. He loved to play strategy games and card games, especially crib. Ken had a sharp-skilled mind and was very intelligent. During his free time, Ken enjoyed a good science-fiction, fantasy or spy novel. Once he picked up a book, it was hard for him to put it down. After retirement from his first career in mining, Ken pursued a passionate hobby of teaching and competing in ballroom dancing. When Ken retired in 2008, he picked up some new hobbies. He learned how to bake, enjoyed playing computer games and would frequently keep up with politics. Ken is now with the Lord and we cannot wait for the day until we meet again. Ken is survived by his wife Debbie Tisdale, children Robert Tisdale, Lisa Tisdale, Isabel (Raegan) Paul, Joshua Tisdale and Joseph Tisdale, grandchildren Ezra Tisdale, Ezekiel Paul and Eliyanah Paul as well as siblings Susan McAdie and Gerald Tisdale. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Evelyn Tisdale as well as brother Douglas Tisdale. Ken’s family would like to express their heart felt thank you to Dr. Ojedokun, Dr. Hewitt as well as all the nurses that cared for Ken in his final days. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Whitecourt Baptist Church with Pastor Clayton Puddicombe officiating with a luncheon to follow. Interment will take place in the Whitecourt Cemetery Columbarium at a later date. If friends and family so desire, memorial contributions may be directed to the Cross Cancer Institute.
