Obituary of George Frederick Greff

George Fredrick Greff July 10, 1966 – August 27, 2022 It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, dad, and poppa George Fredrick Greff on August 27, 2022, at the young age of 56 years. Funny, witty, caring, hard working and an epic smart ass are some of the words that describe George. He was a man who gave of himself to provide for his family and he was always cracking jokes and goofing around just to make his kids smile. George was the ultimate sports fan who fiercely cheered on the Montreal Canadiens, but more than this, he was an amazing Dad and Poppa who enjoyed being on the sidelines cheering on his kids and grandkids. He loved participating in their many activities and going on so many fun family outings and adventures. He was the best friend to the love of his life Kim, always making her feel loved and protected beyond measure. Whatever her request, his immediate response was “Lady, for you, the world!” His greatest passion was his family, including his many beloved fur kids. He leaves them behind to continue on without him. George will forever be remembered and missed by his wife Kim Wallington; daughter Cheyanne (James) Gauthier and son Nicholas Wallington; beloved grandchildren, Morgan, Orin, and Rachel Gauthier, along with numerous family and friends. George will be reunited with his great friend and golfing partner, Stewart McAteer. They are no doubt enjoying the best rounds of golf together. Kim would also like to extend a special thankyou to her sister Diane Wallington, who immediately came from B.C., and has been a pillar of strength and support to our family during this devastating time. The family also wishes to thank all those who have reached out with words and acts of comfort, and to share their gratitude to the staff at Affinity Funeral Service for the care that’s been given to George and the rest of the family. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
