Obituary of Kathleen June Kohut

Kathleen June Kohut June 22, 1949 – August 10, 2022 The family is profoundly saddened to announce the passing of their wife, mom, grandma, and friend Kathleen June Kohut at the University of Alberta Hospital on Wednesday August 10, 2022. Selflessness and always thinking of others was who Kathleen was, she made sure to call and check on everyone leaving no one out. She enjoyed baking, especially cookies, what she baked she gave to others to enjoy. Kathleen enjoyed reading a good Danielle Steel novel, doing puzzles but her true pleasure was creating a one-of-a-kind Christmas stocking for her beloved family. Kathleen leaves behind a beautiful legacy in her family whom she treasured beyond words. Kathleen’s memory will be cherished by her husband of 55 years Louis, her children Dean, Darcy (Andrea), and Bonnie (Wally). Her beloved grandchildren Bradley, Grayson, Maclaren, London, and Jordan. Siblings Diane, Marylee, and Jane. Kathleen was predeceased by her parents Marvel and Walter McCoy, siblings Bettylou, Keith, Miller, Twyla, and Laura The family would like to thank the amazing ICU staff at the University of Alberta Hospital for the care given to Kathleen, and to STARS Air Ambulance.
