Obituary of Rhonda Dawn de Jong

Rhonda Dawn de Jong December 1, 1976 – August 6, 2022 “Don’t judge others, help when you can” We are profoundly saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our amazing mom, daughter, sister, and friend at the Red Deer Regional Hospital August 6, 2022, at the age of 45 years. Rhonda’s greatest passion was her children, family, and her beloved pets; always the overprotective mother and ready to help others. She was a talented hairstylist and artist. Rhonda craved the serene spirituality around her. Rhonda will always be lovingly remembered by her children, Summer and Jakob; mother, Mary de Jong; siblings, Nicole (Glen) Fuhsel, David (Marlayne) de Jong, and Richard (Bev) de Jong. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many many friends. She is predeceased by her dad Dick; her Grandpa and Grandma Mundy, Opa and Oma de Jong/Sandstra; her aunt Audrey, uncle Gerry, and other aunts and uncles. The family would like to thank the staff at the Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Center and the Red Deer Regional Hospital for the exceptional care Rhonda received. Special thanks to our friend Cindy Irwin, who helped and encouraged Rhonda with love in her final journey to be with the Lord. Rhonda’s life will be celebrated at the Church of God, Drayton Valley, Alberta on Monday, August 29, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., with Pastor Stephen and Pastor Leah officiating.
