Karen Christine Lightening
September 16, 1955 - July 28, 2022
It is with great sadness the family of Karen Christine Lightening announces her passing on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the Red Deer Hospital at the age of 66 years.
Karen will forever be lovingly remembered by her husband, Daryl Black; sons, Jim Plamondon, Louis (Leona) De Oliveira, grandsons Isaac and Evan; daughter Dianne Plamondon and children. Her brothers Carl Atkinson, Randolph Bryant, and sister Teddy Wahl.
Karen was predeceased by her mother Yvonne DeOliveira; Her sisters Bonnie Findlay and Lorraine Foisy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Karen’s name and can go directly to The Lung Association, at Box 4700 Stn South, Edmonton, Alberta, T6E 9Z9
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
