Obituary of Dorothy Beatrice Maciborsky

Dorothy Beatrice Maciborsky August 16, 1942 -July 23, 2022 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy Beatrice Maciborsky, in Drayton Valley, Alberta on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at the age of 79 years. Dorothy was born on August 16, 1942; born to Ole and Josephine Videsjorden of Edberg, Alberta. Dorothy enjoyed her life on husband Jim’s family farm. Raising their five children and enjoying her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her great-great grandchild. Her love for the outdoors was what she enjoyed most and looked forward to. Dorothy’s memory will forever live on in all she touched. Dorothy is survived by her 4 children; Jamie Maciborski, Wanda Maciborski (Stuart Craig), Wayne Maciborsky and Mark Maciborsky; as well as 10 grandchildren, Natasha (Brent) Norstrom, Dani (Daryl) Pederson, Tina (Dave) Roberts, Brandy (Grant) Whitby, Nolan Maciborsky, Forrest Maciborsky, Kristin McCormack, Brenden McCormack, Mya Maciborsky, and Taylor Maciborsky; along with 9 great-grandchildren, Megan Norstrom, Logan Norstrom, Brooke Pederson, Dakota Pederson, Skylar Roberts, Aspen Roberts, Brynn Whitby, Graeme Whitby, and Garner Whitby; 1 great-great-grandchild, Walker Hanson; her siblings, Lorraine Seely, Marg Maciborski, and Billy Videsjorden. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband James (Jim) Maciborsky (1996), and her daughter Connie Lynn Maciborsky (2016). With respect of Dorothy’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
