Obituary of Mary Livadney

Mary Livadney September 5, 1930 – July 12, 2022 Mary Livadney passed away at Rimbey Hospital and Care Centre on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the age of 91 years. Mary was one of 17 children born to Dora and William Donesky. Her early years were spent in Struan, Saskatchewan until the family relocated to the Okanagan where Mary finished high school. After graduating, Mary moved to Tennessee where she trained to be a lab technician. She worked in that field for many years while living in Southern California. Southern California was a dream for a shopper. And Mary was an epic shopper! She loved to visit the famous Orange County flea markets on weekends and made occasional trips to Tijuana, Mexico for picture frames, metal work, and other decor items. Mary had many interests. She was an excellent hair dresser, an avid oil painter - with a specialty in portraits, and she was an accomplished seamstress. Her love of shopping and decorating were on full display in the beautiful home she helped build in Kelowna, BC. Her house was always immaculate and her yard was manicured and beautiful. Mary was a selfless and caring daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. There were times when she took off time from work to help a sibling that was in a difficult situation and freely shared her resources with those that needed her financial help. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved nothing more than a stimulating conversation with friends or family. She will be sadly missed by the many people her life touched. Her sisters, nieces, and nephews, church members and friends will cherish their happy memories of a wonderful lady and her well-lived life.
