Obituary of Marjorie Shirley Hall

Marjorie Shirley Hall October 9, 1936 – June 24, 2022 We are incredibly saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our amazing mom, grandmother and friend at University of Alberta Hospital on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the age of 85 years. With a special connection with nature, Marjorie enjoyed the time she spent gardening, blueberry picking and sitting around the fire with her family. Her greatest passion was her children and grandchildren; always ensuring that their every need was met. She loved to look after everyone, and it became her hobby. Her help and genuine affection will be extremely missed. Marjorie will always be lovingly remembered and her beautiful legacy will continue with her children, Bob (Donna) Hall, Carol (Rick) Cutting, Debra (Riley) Johnston, Shirley (Darrell) Brooks and Linda Hall; grandchildren, Cheala Line, Robert Brooks, Leeann Chudek, Bruce Gora, Anita Chudek, Leah Hall, Christine Brooks, Duncan Bartlett and Ian Bartlett along with their spouses and children. She is predeceased by her husband, John Hall; brothers, David and Les Wing; sisters, Nina Perkins and Gladys Johnson and her parents, Joseph and Ida Wing. Marjorie’s life will be celebrated at the Chapel of Affinity Funeral Service, 5001 45 Avenue, Drayton Valley, Alberta on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., with Dwayne Henley officiating. In lieu of flowers, and as a gesture of gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses for the care provided, memorial donations in Marjorie’s name may be made directly to University of Alberta Hospital – Intensive Care Unit, 8440 112 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 2B7.
