Obituary of Gary Dale Babcook

Gary Dale Babcook June 14, 1944 – May 27, 2022 It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Gary Babcook in the comfort of his home and surrounded by the love of his family on Friday, May 27, 2022 at the age of 77 years. A jack-of-all-trades, Gary found great interest and kept himself busy with many projects, but his ultimate dream was to be a farmer; where he created countless beautiful memories with his family and friends. He had a special love for his horses, but nothing that could compare to the deep-rooted love and admiration he had for his wife, children and grandchildren. No matter his struggles, he felt incredibly blessed to be living on his dream. He leaves a beautiful legacy of kindness and love. Gary will forever be lovingly remembered by his true love and wife of nearly 56 years, Karen; children, Gary (Kerri), Cory (Tanya) and Dawn (Gavin) de Jong; grandchildren, Taylor, Braden, Ashley, Hailee, Alyssa, Elicia, Kate and Ellie; sister, Mavis (Charles), as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and plenty of wonderful friends. Gary is predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Eva Babcook. A private family service will be held at Warburg Alliance Church on Friday, June 3, 2022. Interment will follow immediately at Telfordville Cemetery with Pastor Cody Lewis officiating. Following the services, the family invites all relatives, friends and neighbours for a time of fellowship, light lunch and to continue sharing memories of Gary at the Babcook Farm between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. The Babcook family are extremely grateful and would like to thank the Home Care team and all caregivers for the kind, compassionate care provided during Gary’s illness.
