Obituary of Jeanette Louise Engelbert

Jeanette Louise Engelbert September 21, 1944 – May 26, 2022 It is with profound sadness that the family of Jeanette Louise Engelbert announces her passing on May 26, 2022, in Whitecourt, Alberta at the age of 77 years. Jeanette enjoyed the simpler things in life, creating beautiful flower arrangements, sitting around a campfire strumming the guitar with her grandchildren, and would rarely turn down an invite to go shopping with a friend. Jeanette was a very active member of the St. Josephs Parish and the Catholic Women’s League. She was always there to offer a helping hand, and enjoyed volunteering with the Women’s Auxiliary whenever she was able to. Having strong faith in the Lord helped Jeanette through some of the toughest moments in her life, for which she was thankful for. We can find great peace and comfort knowing she has met her Lord and savior. Jeanette will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 56 years Mark, son Matt (Jaime), grandchildren Mark, Alyssa, Carter, Liam, Mandy and Roxie, siblings Rosemary (Albert) Bjornstad, Leon Davio, Marshall (Carol) Davio, Yvonne Rechner, and Marion Davio, as well as many extended family members. Jeanette is now reunited in eternity with her parents Roland and Alma Davio, sons Ronald Engelbert and Roger Engelbert, siblings Helen Davio, Alex Davio, and George Davio. A funeral service will be held at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church on Friday, June 10, 2022 at 1 p.m. with Father Benjamin Belgica officiating. Jeanettes family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Roszko, Nurses, Staff and Healthcare Aids at the Whitecourt Healthcare Centre, as well as all the members from the St. Josephs Parish for all the continuous care, support and prayers for Jeanette.
