Obituary of Annabell Catherine Benjamin

Annabell Catherine Benjamin (neé MacRae) February 28, 1934 – May 21, 2022 We regret to announce the passing of Annabell Benjamin, life-long resident of Entwistle, at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the age of 88 years. Annabell was born in Entwistle, Alberta to Ella and Donald MacRae, and was one of seven children; which taught her the value and significance of family. To Annabell, her family and her home were very important. It brought her great joy to entertain, often partaking in potluck meals and hosting many large family gatherings. She prided herself in being a homemaker. Annabell is survived by her son, Roy Benjamin; sister, Jean Palmer; sisters-in-law, Marie MacRae, Lois Benjamin, Zeta MacRae and Beverly Benjamin; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as by many extended family and long-time friends. Annabell is predeceased by her husband, Elmer Benjamin; son, Alexander “Sandy” Benjamin; siblings, Richard, Alexander “Sandy”, Lexena, Ken and Donald and her parents, Donald and Ella MacRae. A Memorial Service will be held at Entwistle Community Hall, 4921 51 Street, Entwistle, Alberta on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. For those who so desire, donations in Annabell’s memory may be made directly to the charity of one’s choice.
