Obituary of Yvonne Yurchak

Yvonne Yurchak March 28, 1929 – April 26, 2022 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Yvonne Yurchak, resident of Spruce Grove, formerly a long-time resident of the Drayton Valley area on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at the age of 93 years. Yvonne will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cathy (Bob) Weiss and Kim (Gloria) Yurchak; grandchildren, Trevor (Tamara) Weiss, Jayme Weiss (Vincent Counihan), Steven (Breann) Yurchak and Brandi Yurchak (Curtis Nevins); great-grandchildren, Brooke, Jade, Reid, Angelez, Natalia, Maxsym, Brayla and Addisyn, as well as numerous extended family and a circle of beautiful friends. Yvonne was predeceased by her loving husband, Steve; parents, Herbert and Edna Fox; and all of her siblings. Yvonne was a hard-working woman, spending many years as a layout designer for the Western Review. Although her main employment was at the Western Review, her true passion and labour of love always remained at the family farm, where she worked just as hard as the men and ensured everybody was well fed after a long day’s work. With a faithful heart, the love she revealed to her family and friends will be sure to leave a great impression on those she loved so much. A time of Visitation will be held at St. Augustine’s Parkland Anglican Church, 131 Church Road, Spruce Grove, Alberta on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. and Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Neil Gordon officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Drayton Valley. For those who so desire, memorial contributions in Yvonne’s name may be made directly to the charity of one’s choice.
