Obituary of Anita Laurie Hergarden

Anita Laurie Hergarden (Ewanicke) September 23, 1966 – March 10, 2022 After an aggressive battle with cancer, the family of Anita Hergarden announce that she entered her eternal rest with her family by her side, in her home in Drayton Valley, Alberta, on Thursday, March 10, 2022. Anita will be greatly missed, but never forgotten, in the hearts and lives of her children, C. Faye Basque and Kyle Basque, along with her grandchildren, Vivian, Elaina, Hector, Lydia, Evander, Harrison, Raymond and Tessa. Anita will also be lovingly remembered by her mother, Lena Ewanicke and her siblings, Joy, Theresa, Lillian and Donald. She is also survived by her husband, Stefan Hergarden. Anita is predeceased by her father, John Ewanicke. Her family will always cherish the moments that are now memories as Anita lived out of her passion for farming and tending to her garden. But her greatest passion was loving her family, especially her grandchildren. With deep appreciation the family would like to thank Doryce, Nita, Frank, Rhonda, Rob, Tanner, Zack, Ryan and Sheleena for their special love and care through out this difficult journey. The family also expresses their gratitude for all those who prayed or reached out to them during this difficult time. A private family and friends celebration of life will take place at a later date.
