Obituary of Bertha Mary Brooks

Bertha Mary Brooks (neé Pelletier) April 18, 1938 – February 12, 2022 We are extremely broken hearted to announce the passing of Bertha Brooks on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the age of 83 years. Along with her husband Bob, Bertha enjoyed many adventures within Canada and internationally, Las Vegas being one of her favorite destinations. Together, they had a tremendous amount of fun and really were fortunate with the many things they had the opportunity to experience and see. She was a hockey enthusiast, always rooting for the Edmonton Oilers. Bertha was also quite passionate about playing Bingo, taking in all the beauty the mountains had to offer and the many beautiful memories made while camping. Bertha will forever be remembered by her loving children, Jim (Cheryl) Brooks, Jeanette Smith, Darrell (Shirley) Brooks and Betty Brooks; grandchildren, Crystal, Rob, Christine (Ken) , Tanya, Chris (Rikki), Dustin and Jessie; 6 great-grandchildren; siblings, Eileen Huber, Wade (Barb) Pelletier, Doreen (Terry) Cragg, Sharon Pelletier and Linda Pelletier; brothers-in-law, Gordon McLean and Brian Johanesson, as well as by many nieces, nephews, extended family and wonderful friends. She is predeceased by her son, Dean; husband, Bob; parents, John and Eileen, and siblings, Darlene, Henry, Selmer, Loreen, Orville, Marilyn and infant brother, Charles. For those who wish to pay their respects, viewing will be held from the Chapel at Affinity Funeral Service, 5001 - 45 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held from the Chapel at Affinity Funeral Service, 5001 - 45 Avenue, Drayton Valley on Friday, February 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Riverview Cemetery.
